Brilliant for kids, but the clock is ticking and the café is strictly serviceable.
The long read worth saving for nap time
What’s it actually like?
Magic Garden is an outdoor children’s playground with plenty going on: castles, slides, tunnels, sand, water play and space to run about. It sounds like the sort of place where children disappear into imaginary games and come back damp, sandy and very pleased with themselves. The big win here is the sheer amount of fun packed into a relatively compact visit. Reviewers loved the water feature, sand play and the fact that there are benches for parents. It also seems clean, safe and well run, with helpful staff and manageable timed slots rather than free-for-all chaos. The downsides are fairly predictable: you only get around an hour to 90 minutes, and queues can build later in the day. The café is handy but modest, with snacks and sandwiches rather than anything worth writing home about. Also, yes, the water play means wet clothes, so plan accordingly.
