Margate Amusements is an indoor arcade with a strong penny-pusher habit: lots of themed 2p machines, ticket games, dance mats, basketball hoops and grabbers. Reviews also mention a DDR cabinet, piano tiles, racing games and a few FPS machines, so there’s more here than the usual wall of flashing tat. The upside is clear: children seem to love it, the place is described as clean and tidy, and staff get praised for being helpful and quick to fix faults. The coin-changing machine is a proper parent win if you’ve arrived armed with a jar of old pennies and optimism. It sounds like a decent stop for a rainy day or a bit of seaside downtime. The downsides are the predictable ones. It can get expensive once children get the hang of the machines, some grabbers are stingy, and there’s no mention of proper food or comfortable seating. It’s an arcade, not a day out with a capital D, so go in with limited change and realistic expectations.
