Milton Creek Country Park

Milton Creek Country Park is a free outdoor space in Sittingbourne with multiple walking routes, open grassy areas and a few child-friendly features. Reviewers mention nature walks, birds, views towards the water and even a crossing over the Sittingbourne and Kemsley Light Railway track when it’s running. For children, the standout bits are the giant swing, rope climbing frame and areas to climb and play. It sounds like the sort of place that works well for mixed ages: enough to explore, enough room to run, and not so manic that parents need to fake enthusiasm for an hour in soft play. The downside is that it’s pretty basic. Toilets are there, but one review found the loo roll dispenser empty. Seating is not mentioned, the sandpit had an unwelcome dog visitor, and the café situation is basically Greggs nearby rather than a proper park café. Parking is free, though gates close at 7pm in summer.
