What’s it actually like?
Plastic Playground Wake Park is really Liquid Leisure in Windsor, and it’s very much a proper water-sports day out rather than a gentle family park. Think wakeboarding cables, inflatable aqua park fun, boat-based activities and a Ninja Warrior-style obstacle challenge, with different areas set up for different ages. The best bit, by all accounts, is how much there is to do and how friendly the staff are, especially with beginners. Reviewers loved the coaching, the smooth cable setup and the general happy, well-kept feel. Families also liked that there’s seating, a beach area, and food on site, so you’re not stuck on a muddy bank with nothing but a packet of crisps and regret. It’s not perfect, though. Several activities are age-gated, so younger children are limited, and this is not the place for toddlers. Food and drinks rules are a bit restrictive, wetsuits cost extra, and one reviewer noted there are no showers, which feels like a missed trick after a day of being flung about on plastic obstacles. Still, for older kids with energy to burn, it sounds like excellent value and good fun.
Two-minute orientation

A big outdoor wake park with cable wakeboarding, boats, an aqua park and Ninja Warrior-style activities. Best for confident school-age children and tweens who want something active and a bit different. Parents get seating and food on site, but bring patience, swim kit and a realistic budget.
