Reviews suggest it’s a popular local spot rather than a destination park, but one that families return to because it does the basics well. The big plus is the on-site snack hut or kiosk, serving ice cream, drinks and snacks, with friendly staff mentioned more than once. People also praise the open spaces and the fact it’s well cared for, which goes a long way when you’re trying to burn off some energy without paying theme-park prices. The downsides are the usual council-park irritations: no proper parking, a toilet that’s “not very good”, and the odd bit of dog mess from careless owners. There were also comments about teen issues at night, so this sounds best as a daytime visit. Good value, but not exactly a polished day out.
